Advanced Academic Academy/ECHS Common Application

Advanced Academies and Early College High Schools are an integral part of the Socorro ISD secondary educational system. Students who are enrolled in the eighth grade may apply to three of these educational opportunities. Each high school feeder pattern has an early college high school available to only those who reside at an address within that feeder pattern. Mission Early College High School is open to students from across Socorro ISD. Students selected for an advanced academy are required to take a minimum of two advanced courses per year, including Pre-Advanced Placement, Advanced Placement, and/or Dual Credit. SISD Advanced Academies may have screening criteria that would limit access to the program. The minimum standard would be for a student to comply with district transfer policy, which considers grades, attendance, and student discipline. Please note that students outside the boundary may only apply to Mission Early College High School for Early College High School options. Please make a note of the lottery timeline.

Students who accept an offer will receive a welcome letter that contains information about the next steps. Information will be provided that inform parents of the required school transfer process.

1. Parents from outside of the Socorro ISD community or who are moving to El Paso will complete the application to the best of their ability. Please note any additional support information such as your child's attendance, discipline and academic record can be uploaded below.

2. Parents of homeschooled children will provide the information they have available to submit. Student grades and attendance information should be uploaded if the home school program requires this information for compliance.

Final acceptance of non-district student transfers are determined by school availability (FDB Regulation) and approval by campus administration (FDA Local).
